Head tilted back as she cupped her breasts, Emma Rose was on her knees in front of the PornDude, whose gun was cocked and ready to shoot.

There was only one problem.

“Hey, Austin!” Ricky Johnson screamed toward Austin King, the host of Saturday’s Second Annual PornCrush Pool Party. “Where’s the music?”

Unbeknownst to Johnson—who was emceeing the wet t-shirt contest featuring Rose and several others—a pair of police officers had just arrived and presented King with an ultimatum: turn down the tunes, or they would shut down the party.

So there was no really no choice.

“In the end, it didn’t matter,” King said. “Even without music, the wet t-shirt contest was the night's highlight.”

And much of that was because of Rose. The reigning AVN and XBIZ Trans Performer of the Year took an early lead in the contest by slithering across the slick metal stage as the PornDude doused her with water from a Super Soaker gun provided by event sponsor Hustler. Moments later, she sealed her victory over Nichole Saphir (second place) and Jennifer White (third) by dumping the entire bucket of suds onto her now-exposed chest.

“Even the cops stuck around and watched,” King said. “They were actually really nice. I walked them out to the street, and as they got into their car, one of them fist-bumped me and said, ‘Great party, man. Great party!’”

The 400-plus guests that flocked to Reseda for Saturday’s industry-only event seemed to agree. Whether sipping on frozen margaritas, twerking in the hot tub, eating incredible made-to-order tacos, dancing to the DJ, or smoking weed, party-goers were filled with energy and good vibes throughout the eight-hour shindig.

And there were plenty of them.

King said the turnout doubled in size from last year’s inaugural event, adding that he had to decline about 100 RSVP requests to keep things manageable.

“Plus,” King said, “I was adamant about making this an industry-only party. Being a friend or a chef or a trainer of a porn star wasn’t good enough. Being the drummer of a porn star’s favorite band wasn’t good enough. Nor was being a PA four years ago. I’m sure a few people slipped through the cracks, but I did my best to ensure all attendees were reputable performers, agents, directors, media members, and sponsors.”

Much like last year, King said his biggest goal was to have a guest list that featured performers from all genres with varying levels of experience. That was certainly accomplished.

Whether it was in-their-prime stars such as Kylie Rocket or Scarlett Alexis, trans stars such as Zariah Aura or Leilani Li, fresh faces such as Sage Hunter or Venus Vixen, or veterans such as Jennifer White or Tanya Tate, every group was represented.

Jacky St. James—who said she hadn’t attended a porn party in years—was on hand Saturday along with directors such as Ricky Greenwood and Mike Quasar. Agents Mark Spiegler and Chris Cane (Foxxx Modeling) chatted with their models near the pool. Alex Mack, Mike Adriano, and Ricky Johnson were among the male talents who ping-ponged throughout the premises.

King said he was particularly touched that Hayley Davies and Leanna Lovings traveled from Florida for the event and that Lilly Bell battled through jet lag and showed up less than 12 hours after arriving home from a two-week trip to Europe.

The biggest highlight?

“I’m sure everyone would answer that differently,” King said. “But for me, it was having Kimmy Granger there. She drove in from San Diego to attend, and she was the life of the party, which I knew she would be. I’ve long thought that Kimmy is an absolute treasure, with gifts and talents that extend way beyond porn. I was glad she got her spunky little ass out of the house!”

Sitting on top of Johnson’s shoulders, Granger served as the co-MC of the wet t-shirt contest, which also included surging star Rissa May, MILF newcomer Daniell Renae and fan favorite Bella Blu.

Kylie Rocket looked “pretty in pink” on her way to victory in the Best Bikini contest ahead of Ember Fiera (second place) and Tera Winters (third). Other finalists included River Lynn, Ana Foxx, Angel Windell, Gia Derza, and Jade Kai.

Willow Ryder emerged victorious in the “Porn Star Games,” a series of competitions put on by elite studio BANG!, which served as the platinum sponsor for the event. The games were officiated by last year’s winner, Brenna McKenna. Ryder took home the prize by nudging Derza in a heated twerk-off that ignited the crowd—and eventually Instagram, where there is plenty of footage of the ass-shakin’. Ameena Green, Madison Wilde, Molly Little, and Isabella Nice also threw it back.

“The generosity of BANG! helped take this event to another level,” King said. “The stage, the DJ, the hot dog roller … those were all new additions that would’ve been possible without Steve Legos and his crew.”

King also expressed appreciation for the event’s other sponsors, which include Nympho/Mike Adriano, PornDude Casting, Elizabeth Skylar, Alexis Fawx, Tadpole X Studios, Inked Vixens, and Hustler.

Dogtown Enterprises, a Venice-based hemp company, returned for the second straight year and provided pre-rolled joints and other products, much to the guests' delight.

“Everyone is already asking me how we’re going to make the party bigger and better next year,” King said. “There will be some adjustments made to make it better. There are certainly some things that could’ve been handled differently.

“But I don’t think I want to make it bigger. The size of the crowd was just perfect. If it’s like that every year, I’ll be happy.”

King laughed.

“And one of these years,” he said, ”people are actually going to get in the pool. I’m not giving up on that!”
