Two of the top newcomers in the adult industry have left the business.
Dakota Tyler and Theodora Day were removed from the Motley Models website early last month. Multiple sources informed PornCrush that the performers told agent Dave Rock in late January that they no longer wanted to shoot studio scenes.
Day and Tyler did not return messages seeking comment.
Neither performer has filmed for a studio since early January. Day backed out of a commitment to serve as a trophy girl alongside Chanel Camryn at the XBIZ Awards Show, where Dayâs picture was featured in the commemorative program.
Tyler was named âFlavor of the Monthâ by Nubiles Porn on March 1âthe same date that Day was tabbed as âFantasy of the Monthâ by Nubile Films. Neither performer promoted their respective honors on their social media accounts, which have been void of adult-industry related content for months.
Day and Tylerâwho until recently were roommates and best friendsâattended the AVN Awards and Expo Jan. 4-8 in Las Vegas, where they signed each afternoon at the Jules Jordan booth. Tyler hardly seemed to be eyeing an exit during an interview on Jan. 6.
âPeople tell me that I make their day,â Tyler said. âI like seeing people happy. I like making people happy. I always try to emit positive energy. So to hear that people are receiving that, itâs great.â
Day and Tylerâs departure from porn is a huge loss to the industry, as both seemed on the cusp of stardom.
Along with being among the more physically-stunning fresh faces in the business, Tyler and Day were both regarded as high-level performers. And they were in demand. Less than a year into their careers, Day and Tyler had already landed shoots with A-list studios such as Vixen, Missa X, Jules Jordan, Reality Kings, Nubiles, Evil Angel and Brazzers.Â
Combined, Day and Tyler shot more than 100 scenes.
