The mother of adult star Kylie Page told PornCrush that she suspects Page died of an accidental drug overdose.
âProbably fentanyl,â she said, adding that her daughter had struggled with substance abuse issues since joining the industry in 2016.
Page, 28, was found dead in her West Hollywood apartment Wednesday morning. Her landlord discovered her body while performing a welfare check after a friend became concerned when Page stopped answering her door and responding to calls.
âI feared something like this was going to happen,â Page's mother, Aimee, said. âI feared she was going to (die), just because of her lifestyle. Sheâd been in and out of rehab. Sheâd been in AA but wasnât as active lately. I was worried she was going to relapse, and she did.â
A spokesman with the Los Angeles County Coronerâs Office said toxicology reports usually take two to four months to complete. Pageâs mother, however, said she tracked the location on her daughterâs phone and discovered that sheâd traveled to Skid Row late Monday night, likely to purchase drugs.
Aimee said she spoke with her daughter via FaceTime the following afternoon.
âShe actually looked really good,â Aimee said. âShe had on makeup and seemed like she was in good spirits. It was the last time I spoke with her. One day later, she was gone.â
News of Pageâs death rocked the adult community Thursday, when some of the industryâs most high-profile figures flocked to social media to pay tribute to the buxom blonde from Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Leah Gotti, Blake Blossom and Elly Clutch were among the stars who expressed their condolences on X and Instagram. Brazzers, whom Page worked with extensively, issued a statement about her passing. Alex Mack, Pageâs agent for the past month with Hussie Models, was too heartbroken to speak on the phone.
âWe had been friends for many years,â Mack told PornCrush via text. âI was truly excited to welcome her into our little family (at Hussie). Kylie was already a star in every sense of the wordâand she always will be. This is a devastating loss for her friends, her family, and everyone whose life she touched.â
Born and raised in Tulsa, Page was an accomplished musicianâparticularly on the violin and ukuleleâduring her high school years and was also a standout singer and artist. But her life changed in 2016, when Page moved to Los Angeles and entered the adult industry.
Only 18, Page was immediately thrust into the spotlight.
Using the stage name Bonnie Kinz, Page was a central figure in âHot Girls Wanted,â a controversial Netflix series that gave viewers a behind-the-scenes look at performers in their everyday lives. The show chronicled Pageâs first few months in the industry by filming her at the Matrix model house, on car rides to set with agency recruiter Bailey Rayne, and also during candid conversations before and after shoots.
The Netflix series helped elevate Pageâs profile. By the end of her first year sheâd shot for A-list studios such as Jules Jordan, Brazzers and Vixen. She drew long lines at AVN conventions and had flings with some of the top male performers in the industry.
Everyone, it seemed, was in love with Kylie Page.
âShe had so many good qualities,â said Gotti, who met Page at the Matrix model house as soon as she joined the industry. âShe was so funny and kind. I remember signing karaoke with her all the timeâcountry songs like âNeon Moon.â
âWe liked to dress cute and hang out and smoke weed together. Sheâd go to the Farmerâs Market a lot, and she liked to go to vintage shops and buy cute clothes. She was a small-town girl living it up in the big city.â
Performer Uma Jolie became close friends with Page after meeting her at the AVN convention in 2017.
âHer laugh was so cute, I just adored it,â Jolie told PornCrush. âShe was a soft soul, very kind and caringâand honest to God, so humble. She was very easy to love.â
Still, like many new performers, Page quickly fell victim to the temptations that lurk in the adult industry. Colleagues said Page was regular on the club scene and became addicted to alcohol and drugs. She also became obsessed with plastic surgery on all parts of her body, once even going to Tijuana to get silicone injections in her butt cheeks.
"She never had really a high self esteem,â Gotti said. âI thought she was so gorgeous when she came into the industry, but she never thought she was beautiful. If you compare photos of what she looked like then to how she looked in 2025 ⌠it was a completely different person.â
Pageâs lifestyle eventually began to impact her work. She shot sparingly from 2019-2022 before resuming a full-time schedule in 2023. But she all but disappeared again in 2024, when relationship issues forced her to plummet into a deep depression that only enhanced her problems with drugs and alcohol.
âKylie and I used to be really close,â Gotti said. âI considered her a lifelong friend and Iâd always be there for her. But I had to distance myself a little bit because some of the choices she was making over and over again.
âIt was sad to watch. I would never turn my back on her, but at the same time, she was always doing dangerous things. Sheâd post about being sober, but she wasnât.â
Jolie said she reached out to Page countless times in the past few months, urging her to leave her apartment and get some sunlight. But Page was too despondent over a breakup with her longtime boyfriend to do anything.
âIâd be like, âLetâs go on a hike, letâs go to the gym, letâs go eat something,ââ Jolie said. âSheâd agree but then sheâd flake on me. It hurt my feelings but I kept trying, because I knew what type of mentality she was in. But I didnât realize it had gotten this bad.â
Page had shown encouraging signs in the past month. She signed with Hussie models and recently shot with Brazzers. Just one week ago she took part in a high-profile collab with elite performers Max Fills, Hailey Rose, Rissa May and Aviana Violet.
According to Pageâs mother, she had decided to return to porn only to help ease the burden of her familyâs financial struggles.
âI donât think she wanted to get back into it and make a career out of it,â Aimee said. âShe told me a few months ago that she didnât want to do porn anymore. She hated herself for it. She knew she couldnât get a regular job, because people would know who she is and what she did.â
Friends and family became particularly worried about Page during the past few weeks. A new boyfriendââa wannabe rapper with basically no followers,â a colleague saidâhad become both verbally and physically abusive. Page ended the relationship and then posted about her struggles on Instagram. Deep down, her mother canât help but wonder if the situation, even in a roundabout way, contributed to her death.
âHe was making threatening remarks toward her,â Aimee, who lives in Missouri, said. âI shouldâve checked it out. I shouldâve gone out there. Maybe things wouldâve been different if iâd have gotten on a plane.â
Instead, Aimee is left with only memories of her blonde-haired, blue-eyed daughter, who had the word âMomâ tattooed under her left bicep and âEternal Lifeâ inside her left wrist.
There wonât be anymore trips to LA like last year on the Fourth of July, when Kylie and her younger siblings Christian (23) and Holly (20) frolicked on Hermosa Beach, young and free, seemingly without a care in the world.
âWeâd go there every summer,â Holly said. âWeâd do our makeup together and get dressed up and take pictures. She was so outgoing. She lit up every room she walked into.â
Holly paused. Her voice cracked as she fought back tears.
âShe was so beautiful,â she whispered. âShe was so beautiful.â
