Roman Todd, AVN's Gay Performer of the Year in 2023, is facing multiple felony charges in Nevada following allegations of domestic violence against his girlfriend, who is also an adult entertainer. The charges stem from an incident reported earlier this week in which Todd allegedly assaulted the victim at a Las Vegas residence.
According to court records, Todd, who is 39, has been charged with domestic battery by strangulation, and domestic violence with the use of a deadly weapon—which are both considered felonies in Nevada. He was also charged with misdemeanor domestic battery.
According to police reports, Todd is accused of inflicting substantial bodily harm on the victim, including a concussion, two black eyes, and a chipped tooth. The victim was reportedly transported to a local hospital for treatment. Todd was arrested shortly thereafter and was later released after posting a $15,000 bond.
If convicted, Todd faces a minimum sentence of two years in prison for the felony domestic battery charge alone. The assault with a deadly weapon charge could carry an additional one to six years.
Court filings indicate that a DNA probable cause review has been ordered, allowing investigators to collect genetic evidence as part of their inquiry.
Neither Todd nor his representatives have issued a public statement regarding the allegations.
This week's incident comes nearly two years after Todd wasrushed to the hospital after ingesting a fentanyl-laced pill in a bathroom stall at the Los Angeles International Airport in 2023. He collapsed immediately after exiting the stall. Months later, during a livestream, Todd claimed he was was clinically dead for five minutes before being resuscitated. "I should not be here right now," he said.
An elite performer known for his chiseled frame, Todd debuted in 2010 and has shot more than 500 scenes working primarily with gay and trans performers. Todd is one of 15 finalists for AVN's Gay Performer of the Year award, which will be announced next week in Las Vegas.
