PornCrush: What prompted your tweet? In other words, even though you had the dream, why tweet about it?
Burns: Before I tweeted, I checked X's ToS and found that it was not against their policy to say something of this nature. I don't think about what other people are going to be offended by, I only think about what arouses me and would probably arouse other people, and that is why I tweeted it. I knew that it was a polarizing subject where many people would enjoy it and most likely would offend others.
Surely enough, the engagement from it was outstanding. I lost more followers than usual, but gained way more than I would have on a regular day. My job as a business owner is to grow, and we grow by being put in front of many eyes that we weren't in front of already. The bottom line, this is business, and you don't grow a successful business by sitting on the sidelines attacking people.
Freedom of speech is the most important and sacred point of how all of this is being played out. I live in a country where I am freely able to express my thoughts, which is exactly what I did. I expressed a fantasy. The big problem with that, and I am fully aware of, is that lots of people don't understand how to properly differentiate between reality and fantasy. They make assumptions based on their own feelings, experiences, and environment. There are only a couple of legitimate reasons to have an X account, one you have something to promote, and two you want to consume media for a handful of reasons specific to the user. I tweet primarily to engage with other people that share the same fantasies, while promoting my company, my product, and myself.
PornCrush: Obviously, the majority of people who read that tweet will find it disturbing or gross. Why, in your mind, is it OK?
Burns: As I stated previously, my X statistics are showing more follows than unfollows. The tone in my mentions is mixed, while there's a great deal of (mostly industry) people that express disgust, there's also a great deal of people that find the fantasy arousing.
PornCrush: A number of performers (including some who I'm assuming are your friends) have expressed their displeasure with your tweet. How does that make you feel?
Burns: I read through all of the comments and didn't see any of my friends in them.
PornCrush: Did you ever consider deleting the tweet? Why or why not?
Burns: No, I didn't. I can't get my account deleted, so there is no reason for me to delete it.
PornCrush: Would you really like to make that type of content?
Burns: It is a fantasy of mine.
PornCrush: What are your thoughts on being dropped by ATMLA in the aftermath of the tweet?
Burns: ATMLA has been great to me over the years that I was represented by them and I have no hard feelings toward a decision they made to protect their business.
